Spain—Police Arrest Ex-Venezuelan Intel Chief

Spanish police have arrested a senior Venezuelan intelligence official after he disappeared two years ago, reports the New York Times. On Thursday, police announced that they had apprehended Hugo Carvajal at an undisclosed location in Madrid. Carvajal went into hiding two years ago shortly after Spain approved a U.S. request for his extradition on drug-trafficking charges.
