USA—SPY-6 Radar Concludes Development Testing

The U.S. Navy has recently completed the last developmental test for the new AN/SPY-6 Air and Missile Defense Radar, reports the Navy Newsstand.  On Jan. 31, the AN/SPY-6(V)1 radar searched for, detected and maintained track on a short-range ballistic missile target launched from the Pacific Missile Range Facility in Hawaii, the service said.  The radar performed as predicted in its 15th and final developmental test against a ballistic target.  Program officials will analyze the...
