Afghanistan—Troops Repulse Taliban Attack On Helmand Base

Afghan and U.S. forces have repelled a coordinated Taliban assault on a base in the southern Helmand province, reports Tolo News (Afghanistan).  On Friday, militants launched the assault on Camp Shorab, which houses the 215th Maiwand Corps, said the governor's office.  At least three suicide bombers participated in the attack, it said.
