Ansar Sunnah
Ansar Sunnah grew from the ashes of the religious movement known as Ahlu Sunnah Wa-Jamo, which was formed around 2015 by followers of the late radical Kenyan cleric Aboud Rogo, who was killed in 2012. Accounts suggest that at least some members of Ansar Sunnah were followers of Rogo who later resettled in Mozambique after his death.
