Palestine Liberation Front (PLF)
The PLF was established in 1959 by Ahmad Jibril, who later formed the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC) in 1968. At that time, the PLF became part of the latter group. In April 1977, following a split from Jibril's PFLP-GC, Muhammad Zaidan (Abu Abbas) and Tal'at Ya'akub assumed control of the new PLF.
