The Lockheed Martin Desert Hawk was originally a micro air vehicle (MAV) demonstrator dubbed SentryOwl that was part of the U.S. Air Force's force protection airborne surveillance system (FPASS) requirement. It was quickly selected and placed in service. The air vehicle is made of a mold-injected polypropylene foam, which looks very similar to Styrofoam, but is much more durable.
