OVERVIEW The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) consists of the following: 5 fighter/ground attack squadrons 2 anti-submarine warfare squadrons 1 airborne early warning and control squadron 1 tanker/transport squadron 5 transport squadrons (1 VIP) 4 training squadrons (10 reserve) 1 ISR UAV group PERSONNEL STRENGTH The RAAF has a total active manpower of approximately 14,050, with around 4,150 reserves.
