OVERVIEW The Syrian navy operates a small coastal patrol force and coastal artillery brigade equipped with 12 batteries of SS-C-1B and SSC -3 anti-ship missiles, as well as two battalions of fixed-site artillery emplacements (36 130-mm and 12 100-mm artillery pieces).
