OVERVIEW The naval component (COMOPSNAV) is part of a permanent binational Belgian-Dutch naval force under operational command of Admiral Benelux (ABNL) at Den Helder, the Netherlands. Ultimate command authority for the assigned units remains with each nation. The naval component's operational command center at Zeebrugge has closed, but still serves as the homeport for much of the fleet.
