OVERVIEW The Bulgarian air force (Bulgarski Voenno Vzdushni Sili) is organized into: 1 Air Defense Command 1 fighter/ISR squadron 1 transport squadron 2 training squadrons 1 attack helicopter squadron 1 transport helicopter squadron Under the armed forces' reorganization plan, the air force disbanded its ground-based air defense division.
