USA Coast Guard
OVERVIEW The U.S. Coast Guard is a multimission maritime service that now falls under the auspices of the Dept. of Homeland Security. It was transferred from the Treasury Dept. to the then newly formed Dept. of Transportation in 1967, and to the Dept. of Homeland Security in 2003.
