OVERVIEW Ghana has a coastal defense navy without marines or naval aviation. The southern coastline is divided into two commands: Eastern and Western, totaling six patrol and costal combatants. The Ghanaian navy provides costal defense, protection for fisheries and security for Lake Volta.
