OVERVIEW The military situation in BiH has been unique, in part because its defense has been maintained by two separate armed forces. The armed forces were made up of the Forces of the Federation of BiH (VF) and the Army of the Republika Srpska (VRS). The VF included a Bosnian component (VF-B) and a Bosnian-Croat component (VF-H).
