OVERVIEW The Salvadoran air force is equipped and organized primarily for counterinsurgency and tactical support missions. The air force is organized into: 1 air brigade with 1 helicopter squadron 1 transport squadron 1 training squadron 1 air brigade with 1 fighter/attack squadron PERSONNEL STRENGTH Total active manpower of the air force is 2,000.
